This is my basic 2 channel system in a very small, but dedicate listening space. This is not an enclosed room, but open to a hallway and living room area in our townhome.  For this reason, the Adante towers are not overpowering for this small area.  This space was probably intended for use as a dining area, but I am putting it to better use :). I am using no brand,10-gauge speaker cable.  I have amassed a huge collection of CDs over several decades and it has remained my de facto medium.  I did listen exclusively to vinyl in high school and college back in the day, but space and cost discourage me from returning to it.  I also have a 5 channel Home Theatre system in the basement which I use for SACD playback. I am currently researching stand alone DACs for my next purchase and the Denafrips Pontus 2 is currently the front runner.  The current crop of DACs have take a quantum leap in performance relative to price which is exciting for those of us on a budget.
