Thanks for the explanation, looks like a great sounding system on a rock solid base - kudos!

Sitting on subs is a bit of a oversimplification.

The sub boxes with woofer weigh in around 200lbs. You cannot feel anything form the subwoofer movement with nothing on top of it.

Why? They are constructed from two, one bonded pieces of heavy mdf. The boxes unloaded weighed in excess of 150 each.

Then there are two pieces of treated 4x4 stacked to hold a MANGO TREE TRUNK. The mango tree trunk was sliced vertically. It took three people to position the mango tree trunk on top of the 4x4’s that are on top of the boxes. I did not weigh the tree trunk, but I am guessing it is in the 500 lb plus range.

I can assure you the tubes on the 125 lb amps get more vibration from the movement of the air than transmission through four different density woods and metals.

The only equipment actually sitting on the sub boxes are a tape deck, CD player and the sub amp. The former two are rarely used as a source.

They're so fancy, I figured they were wood! I use a less elegant version of concrete on mine.

Agree in the 1200g.

The stands under the 1200 are solid concrete. The stand under the Amps is a mango tree. Both stands way hundreds of pounds.

The subs are in a fatbox. They are custom designed for the speaker. 1.5” particle board.

The rig deserves a 1200G and a better rack.

Impressive gear.

Even if those horns are a little much for the room, it must be difficult to leave when good music is playing. I wouldn't get much done with a setup like that.

Well, looking closer, it appears the subs are in hard enclosures that appear to be covered with fabric. Perhaps prefab cabinets for a tuck, or similar?

Now, this looks like an ambitious rig! Kudos on the over-the-top attitude!

What's happening with the subs? Are those arrays home made? It looks like they are encased in foam. Or, is that some dense, dark concrete, like material?

The room is definitely to small to truly appreciate the horns properly.

From what I can tell from the two pix, it looks like you're only sitting a few feet away from the horn mouths. Am I reading this right? Seems awful close to me.

Oh my!

Knowing what my Ayon Spirit sounds like on conventional speakers with two KT150s per channel, it's a little scary to think about your horns with ten KT150s per channel.  I'm gobsmacked.
