Your approach works too.  I just love big album artwork to enhance the listening experience and your setup nails it!

Enjoy!

Hi! Thanks! Sorry to tell you: No iPad. But a ASUS ROG GR8 PC with JRiver Media Center connected via WASAPI exclusive access to the VEGA. The Samsung tablet is only for Gizmo remote control (Android). All music is on a hard drive in HD Tracks or SACD-ISO files or in WAV. If I miss a CD from my collection ,I rip it at the highest possible quality.

Forgot to mention...the beauty of using an iPad is big, beautiful, backlit album artwork, not available with any streamer than I am aware of.

It really enhances the listening experience for me.

Love the simplicity!

Finally someone who docks their iPad / iPhone and streams from it as I do around the house in multiple systems.   Love it!!!

Please tell me more (brand / connections / price) about the dock you are using.  I simply use Apple docs with an audio out connection.

Thanks much!

Hi! Thanks! Ohm Walsh Model F Speakers?! Speaking of unusual design! Well, I like unusual solutions and the 70s left us a lot of crazy speakers.....

Thank you for displaying your system! I find it one of the more interesting here.
The speakers are really special, such unusual designs, and kudos to you for keeping them in operating condition!

I just restored (a bit) a pair of '70's era Ohm Walsh Model F Speakers. It's tremendous fun taking a trip back in time to hear old speakers!  :)
