So had to make the transition from working in the office to working at home, but found a way to make it bearable by squeezing almost everything I could into my small home office. The acoustics are challenging, but room treatments and the Dirac Live onboard the NAD help. That being said, can’t wait for an addition so I can spread out and upgrade a bit.
Thanks b_limo! I’m not sure I’m going to want to go back to my regular office anymore...
Ericngo1–I run the 2 subs off of the NAD using digital crossover. I could try an active, but my electrical engineering skills are limited (and limited is actually an overstatement) and would prefer not to have to use a fire extinguisher.
Awesome setup! It’s going to sound great back at the office ;-) after all this Covid crap is over! Your coworkers are going to be stoked to finally have good sound in the office.
Thanks! @zufan—agree with @toro3, you should try out DIRAC. I messed up the measurements a couple of times, but once I got it right, the sound really locked in (which is no small feat in this shoebox).
Great looking office system - love that pictures of the trees.
@zufan you need to dive into DIRAC. Lots of variability with the results, but if you measure right and utilize the target curve and curtains appropriately, a whole new window may be shown to you with the C658!
You reminded me: I've owned my C658 for a year now and have yet to enable the dirac! I think it sounds amazing as is, but at some point I need to dive in!
