Got bored so threw a cheap system together in my PC room where I do a lot of work anyway so why not?
Yes the TT is just sitting on the carpet for now until I find a piece of granite or maple to go under it.
I was deeply impressed by the sq of that old Sansui driving the Diamond speakers from the Chromecast Qobuz hires stream, pretty darn happy for just over $200 for the lot!
Added an old Sansui DX-111R cassette deck that really blew the budget at $49.50 shipped.
So now we are likely up to $249.50 total.

Components Toggle details

    • Wharfedale Diamond 220
    Superb little bookshelf speakers
    • Sansui A-2000
Tidy integrated from the late 70,s at bargain eBay prices
    • Technics SL-10
Very nice linear tracking TT, built like a tank!
    • Google Chromecast Audio
System would not be complete without some way to stream from Tidal and Qobuz and my music files on the PC, by far the cheapest and easiest way to do so.
Use Google Home and Bubble UPnP and it does all the hard work for you!
    • Sansui Dx-111R
Matching cassette tape deck for the amp.

Thx guys.
I have been honestly shocked and blown away by the performance of the Sansui and Wharfedale combo.

They have no RIGHT to be able to kick butt with strong deep bass and glorious mids as they do.

In fact I was today playing this system which is upstairs with the room door open and listening to it downstairs.

Ultimate compliment was from the wife who said " that sounds nice"

Score all round!
