Description

System does a lot of things very well, I am considering upgrading caps and internal wiring in speakers probably to mundorf. Just installed Nordost Tyr bi-wire speaker cables, Tyr xlr and Vahalla digital cable. Also added Verastarr Grand Illusion power cords to Dac and CD player. The difference is very clear and distinct. Speaker improves with each upgrade, may trade Frey back for Tyr bi-wire.

    • Nordost Tyr XLR
The Tyr interconnect uses four 22 AWG solid OFC conductors with an extruded silver surface of 60 microns. Featuring our advanced dual mono-filament technology, the reduction of insulation contact by more than 85% means that the current and voltage traveling above the surface of the conductor are virtually unimpeded and signals are transferred more efficiently, accurately and at extremely high speeds. For optimum performance single-ended Tyr interconnect cables are terminated with WBT NextGen gold plated copper RCA connectors. These low mass plugs offer the perfect impedance matching between the cable and equipment. Tyr is also available with carefully selected balanced terminations. This cable offers superb coherence, detail and realism in a musical performance.
    • Nordost Tyr Bi-wire
The TYR loudspeaker cable consists of twenty 22 AWG OFC conductors with a 60 microns extruded silver surface, arranged in a flat array. Mono-filament design reduces insulation contact with the conductors by more than 80% which means signals are virtually unimpeded by the insulation material. With an effective dielectric constant of 1.12 Tyr loudspeaker cables transfer signals very efficiently at extremely high speeds, resulting in superb detail and musical realism. Tyr is available terminated with low-mass Nordost Z plugs or gold-plated spades. Wire your system with a full loom of Tyr cables and be awed by its realism and detail.

    • Isoclean Focus Power Cord
Constructed from selected high quality European 6mm Copper cable, the external tightly wrapped with 3 layers Nylon anti-static and single layer heavy-duty Copper shields for added external/internal vibrations, harmful airborne RF absorptions. Terminated with high-grade 24K Gold plated Wattgate IEC and AG plugs. The contacts modified, polished to increase contact area in order to improve reliability and reduce noises. Items individually handcrafted to exacting professional standards.
    • Verastarr Grand Illusion Power Cords
The Verastarr Grand Illusion is testament to our ability to think outside the box. Designed with eliminating the inherent anomalies of round wire in mind, the Grand Illusion uses high purity metal foils instead of wire. The result is a breakthrough in imaging and dynamics. By increasing the surface area of normal round wire tenfold or more, skin effect is no longer an issue. Efficiency of electron flow is maximized, and efficient electron flow means low noise. Micro detail becomes unlocked and soundstage and image opens up incredibly. Start with your source components for the most dramatic improvement then unveil the layers as you add cords to the preamp, then amplifiers and finally behind your power conditioner. We are so confident in the performance of the Grand Illusion that we guarantee it performs better than what you are currently using, or your money back! Try one now to truly see what your system is capable of.

System edited: I have recently changed a few items; upgraded to Nordost Tyr bi-wire, eliminated PS Audio preamp from circuit, utilizing wired4sound Dac as pre. Also added an Isoclean 60A3 power conditioner with Focus power cord. The system is dead quite, coherent and imaging has greatly improved. The speakers are awesome and will get me thrown out of my loft!
