Thanks for your feedback!

I have a Goldmund Telos 280 power amp with EAR Yoshino 912 preamp, fast and resolving but with some of the tube goodness. Maybe you could consider a tube preamp if you're interested in valves.

I've also tried some tube power amps or integrated amps of various wattage with the Elipsas: Jadis DA-8, Line Magnetic LM-845P, even down to an Audion 300B (8wpc, no problem), all sounded superb.

Auralic make some nice functional gear, I have an Altair streamer/DAC/pre in another system with a pair of Cremonas (SF all the way!) and been pretty happy with this unit.

Smart approach with the DIY feet and speaker placement, please share once you've started experiencing other feet. I was recently looking into the IsoAcoustics Gaia, some good user feedback on those.

Cheers

Hi! Thanks!

Yes...plenty of power....however I would like to, someday, test valves. What kind of  amp do you use?

You’re right about the preamp…I have tested several but no one makes it sound better. The Auralic is a DAC and a fully balanced, class A, preamp. It can drive the ML to insane output so I have a pair of Rothwell In-Line Attenuators …just in case….

About the  non-stock feet on the Elipsas. I made them myself. There’s a silicon/plastic pad agains the floor. The improvement: I can easily move them around until I know where they sound the best. Then I may buy some good spikes. I don’t really like the ones that came with the speakers…..

Nice system, well done!

I also have pair of Elipsas that I enjoy a lot, I'm sure they must sound great driven by the ML which delivers plenty of power!

I don't see a preamp in your components listing, are you feeding the Auralic directly into the power amp?

I also noticed that you seem to have non-stock feet on the Elipsas, which are those and what kind of improvement did you get?

Enjoy!
